EGC team maintaining the Will Carder Boat and area displays win RHS Britain in Bloom South West It’s Your Neighbourhood Level 5 “Outstanding” award.

On Friday 24th October 2025 the Club’s team of volunteers led by Viv Streeter attended the Exmouth in Bloom celebration and awards evening following EiB’s fabulous recent success in winning GOLD in the Champion of champions class of the Southwest in Bloom 2025 competition.

The event was attended by many local civic leaders as well as local winners and we enjoyed a wonderful video presentation of the many sites around the town benefitting from being part of Exmouth in Bloom.

We were thrilled and delighted to report to learn that the boat and displays our garden club volunteers look after – once again scooped an ‘In your Neighbourhood’ award but this year achieved level 5 – Outstanding – surpassing the level 4 Thriving award achieved last year.

And on a lighter note, the evening also provided an opportunity for some of our volunteers to try on the new EGC branded hi viz jackets recently purchased from Club funds for our volunteers tending the roadside displays along the seafront.
